Aparajita’s Education: Success Story of IAS Topper Aprajita Sharma
Aprajita has her early education from Banaras. After this, she went to Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi for graduation. Aparajita’s father retired as an IRS officer and her mother is a professor. After graduation, she started working in a big company in Aparajita. The branch of her company in which she used to work. She was the only girl there. Apart from them, there was no other girl in the other department. Some incidents here inspired Aparajita, with which she decided that she would take the civil services exam and work ongoing to the ground level. Nana Ji’s childhood wishes were also associated with this dream. In this way, Aparajita started her UPSC journey. She has tasted this success after three full tries.
Aparajita’s advice
In her interview, Aparajita says that to prepare for the three exams, you have to make different strategies. First of all, see the syllabus and collect books according to your interest. In addition, Aparajita also advises not to have multiple sources. Aparajita further says keep your books limited but revise them again and again. This is more important. While making strategy, also keep in mind that make your own strategy because everyone’s weekend and strength are different. Set daily goals and meet them. Aparajita attaches great importance to the basics of NCERT books. She read books on most subjects of NCERT from Class VI to XII, especially Geography. After this, focus on the newspaper. Aparajita read the entire three newspapers during her preparation.
Do not lie during interviews
Aparajita further says that during the interview, do not lie at all, people who are sitting there are much smarter than you. They will quickly catch your lie. If no answer comes, then apologize. Aparajita does not believe in giving too many mock tests. She says that this will confuse you and give you rote answers. It is better to speak what is in your heart because honesty is being tested here, not your knowledge.
