The National Testing Agency conducts competitive examinations in India, which include the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main), the exam for engineering admissions. Recently, the organization faced criticism over the paper leak claims. The CBI has arrested seven people of a private consultancy company for taking Rs 15 lakh per student for admission in top engineering colleges.
The CBI official said that the investigation is going on in this case. At the same time, the opposition has demanded a probe under the supervision of the Supreme Court and has also raised questions on the transparency of the examinations conducted by the institution.
Meanwhile, students are worried whether this will affect the schedule of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. According to a report in Indian Express, NTA will not postpone the August-September results. An NTA official clarified that this paper was not a leak, due to which the exam can be canceled. Exam paper is not leaked. He told that the results of the students involved in it will be cancelled.
