Saumya says that she was selected in the third time but she came in 148th rank, due to which she was selected in IPS. She says that she was happy with her success but not satisfied, she had to become an IAS. So, she took the exam again for the fourth time and in the year 2018, she not only got selected for the IAS but her All India Rank was 30. His dream of becoming an IAS finally came true.
Soumya was top in studies from the beginning
Soumya was always good in studies. He had his schooling from Almora. He then did B Tech in Information Technology from College of Engineering, Roorkee. Soumya completed her graduation in the year 2013. Saumya states that till this time he had not thought of anything like civil services. However, after finishing graduation, he had the idea of civil services for two reasons. The first reason was that she was good in academics, then her family thought that she would pass this exam. The second reason was that she had done B Tech but she did not want to see herself working in front of the computer all her life.

He always had a desire to do something for the society. In such a situation, he caught the path of civil services and gave the first ambulance after coaching for one year. In this ambush, she reached the mains but could not clear them. At this time, Soumya was surrounded by gloom and she began to wonder if it was not made for this place.
Meanwhile, with the support of the family, she stood up again and got selected in the third attempt, although according to her mind, she did not get the IPS post this time too. Soumya joined the IPS service and took a year’s leave from there and started preparing for the exam again. This time his years of hard work paid off and he was selected in the IAS.
