Prince William has confessed his divided loyalties forward of a hotly anticipated World Cup face-off between England and Wales.
The Prince of Wales, who can also be head of England’s Football Association (FA), instructed members of the Welsh Parliament that he’ll be “supporting both” nations once they meet within the World Cup group stage later this month.
In a go to to the Senedd chamber in Cardiff, William admitted he often helps England in soccer and Wales in rugby.
But for the “big deal” of Wales’s first World Cup finals event since 1958, William stated, his loyalties should be shared.
Prince William stated: “I’m telling everybody I’m supporting each, undoubtedly. I am unable to lose.
“I’ve supported England since I’ve been quite small, but I support Welsh rugby and that’s my kind of way of doing it.
“I fortunately help Wales over England within the rugby.
“When I was growing up, Wales didn’t get through to the tournaments so I had to make a choice.
“[But] I’ve received to have the ability to play fastidiously with my affiliations as a result of I fear in any other case if I all of the sudden drop England to help Wales then that does not look proper for the game both. So I am unable to do this.”
William added that an England versus Wales World Cup closing “would be the best”.

No plans for William to have formal investiture ceremony as Prince of Wales
Prince William can also be anticipated to reiterate to members of the Senedd later at the moment that he has no plans for an investiture as Prince of Wales, the ornate (and costly) set up ceremony attended by his father in 1969.
The Prince and Princess of Wales made their first residence as newlyweds at Anglesey, the picturesque island off Wales’s north west coast.
A royal supply stated of Catherine after the Queen’s demise: “The new Princess of Wales appreciates the history associated with this role, but will understandably want to look to the future as she creates her own path.”
