Pakistan’s new NSA doctor Moeed Yusuf.
India and Pakistan have been discussing the initiative of peace through ‘backdoor’ for a few months. Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan took a major decision on Tuesday. For the first time after 2019, he has appointed someone for the post of National Security Advisor (NSA). He is also a person who does not have any taluk from the army. Dr. Moeed Yusuf, a professor at Boston University and University of Pakistan, was elected the new NSA of Pakistan.
Yusuf is the eighth person to be appointed to this post after 1969. Not only this, he is the third person who is not from the army. The cabinet division issued a notification in this regard on 17 May. Dr. Yusuf has been given the status of Federal Minister. Prior to this, he has been a special assistant to the Prime Minister on national security.

Role behind talks with India too!
In February, there were reports in the media that peace talks are going on between India and Pakistan from the back door. Saudi Arabia also indicated in this regard. It was believed that the doctor behind the scenes with Indian NSA Ajit Doval was Moed Yusuf. However, Dr. Yusuf denied this. He described all the news as baseless.
I have seen claims by Indian media that attribute today’s ceasefire announcement between Pakistani and Indian DGMOs to back-channel diplomacy between me and the Indian NSA. This is baseless. No such talks have taken place between me and Mr. Doval. 1/4

Why choose NSA all of a sudden
The special thing is that in 2019, the Imran Khan government had abolished the post of NSA. At that time, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi opposed this, seeing his supremacy in danger. But now suddenly Imran Khan took this decision. According to Pakistani media, Indian NSA Ajit Doval is behind the appointment of Dr. Moeed Yusuf. Imran Khan needed a person who could talk to Ajit Doval continuously.
