Mysterious Brain Disease in Canada: The world is still grappling with the threat of Coronavirus Pandemic. In many countries once again the cases of infection are increasing rapidly, but now the crisis of another mysterious disease is looming. Five people have died in Canada, while 43 others have been found infected with this brain disease like Mad Cow Disease. According to media reports, this is a very dangerous and rare brain disease, known as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. This year, six new cases of CJD have been found.
According to the Guardian report, the person suffering from the disease forgets things, suddenly goes into a state of confusion and has to undergo muscular entrophy. The Public Health Agency in New Bernswick Province, Canada, has asked doctors to detect symptoms associated with CJD. Canadian health experts and officials are deeply concerned about the disease (Canada Mystery Disease Cases). The authorities have received 43 cases of infection since 2015. Of these, 24 cases have been reported in the year 2020 and six cases have been found in 2021. Along with this, the cause of death of five people is also being told.
What are the symptoms of the disease?
At first, the symptoms of the disease were reported to be memory loss, visual impairment. However, its symptoms have not been clear yet. Neurologist Dr. Allaire Marreno, who has investigated these cases, has said, “We do not have such evidence to prove that it is a prion disease (abnormal protein-borne disease)”. Symptoms of this disease include pain, cramps, behavioral changes (Mystery Brain Disease in Canada). Patients say that within 18 to 36 months, patients started having problems in doing work, which requires a lot of brain, they also have problems related to muscle loss and teeth.
Case has been found in New Burnswick
The location of these cases is not yet clearly stated, but they are all told of the Acadian continent, located to the north-east of the province of New Bernswick. Some explorers have described these cases as related to the environment. Talking about Mad Cow Disease, it is a disease of cattle associated with cow, which is called Bovin spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) (What is the Mystery Brain Disorder in Canada). This neurological disease spreads to cattle due to an abnormal protein, which destroys the brain and spinal cord. It was first identified in the UK in 1986. However, the researchers also trace it to the early 1970s.
