The online store of e-commerce giant Amazon.com Inc. came to a standstill on Sunday night due to the outage. Users faced difficulty while browsing Amazon. According to the monitoring website Downdetector, this problem of outage has come for the second time after June. Its online store showed error messages on many regional domains.
According to Reuters, there was a problem accessing the products list on domains in the US, India, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Singapore. An Amazon spokesperson said, “We are sorry that some customers are facing problems while purchasing. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue.”
The reason for affecting the website has not been revealed yet. Even Amazon did not immediately respond to a comment request from Reuters.
As of 9:30 AM on Monday, some domains were backed up. Amazon did not immediately respond to a comment request regarding the recovery limit in the services. According to Downdetector, more than 38,000 user reports indicated problems with Amazon’s online store site, while about 500 users reported problems with Amazon Web Services.
According to Downdetector, about 80% of the reported issues were with its website while 15% were with log-in and 5% with its check-out services.
