- Planning to start 90 schools on the very first day
Washim. The district administration has taken the decision to keep the school closed during the Corona period. On the first day on February 1, a plan has been made to start 90 schools in the district.
Most of the schools were closed in the first and second wave of Corona. Due to which the demand for starting schools was being made by various organizations. Due to which the state government has given a decision to the District Magistrate at the local level regarding permission to start schools. After which schools have started in many places of the state.
Schools have also started in the nearby Buldhana district. But in Washim district, the district administration had not yet implemented the decision, in protest against this decision, on January 24, the officials of Mesta organization in all the six tehsils of the district, while requesting at the tehsil level, had demanded to take back the decision of the closure of the school, but till now Due to lack of serious consideration in this context, Mesta organization has taken an aggressive role.
A question has been raised as to why the schools in Washim district have been kept closed despite schools being started in other districts. Permission has been sought to start the school, even if the district administration did not give permission in this regard, the directors of the institution have given indications to start the schools by following the rules of Corona from February 1, so that what is the decision regarding starting the school. It is taken that everyone’s attention is on this side.
Organization continues on starting schools from 1
In this context, the district president of Mesta organization, Borkar said that even after requesting the district administration, no decision has been taken in this regard, schools have started in most parts of the state, due to which schools are expected to start in Washim district as well. If permission is not given by the administration, yet the organization is firm on its decision to start 90 schools in the district from 1st February.
