Life gives us only two options to live – some people pursue their goals and establish an empire of success, while some prefer to blame adversities for their failure. Ideally, life gives everyone a lot of opportunities to fulfill their desires. Despite this, most of us fail to understand the possibilities and take necessary steps, while some people would have succeeded in reaching the destination with the right decision at the right time. The story of Divya Rastogi is similar to the one who traveled from a normal housewife to a successful entrepreneur in spite of the adverse situation.
Divya, who lived a comfortable life as a housewife, dreamed of embracing entrepreneurship at the age of 42. After sending her elder son to college, she had plenty of time to herself, and that was when she thought of moving forward with her passion for interior designing. This obsessive beginning of the year 2004 has come a long way today. Divya has so far designed offices for over 250 multinational companies.
Divya “I just wanted to do something, but I didn’t have a professional degree,” she told a special conversation with. Since I was always interested in interiors, I thought why not choose interior designing. Then I enrolled in a professional course and started attending classes with half-age students. “
Divya only undertakes turnkey interior designing projects, and so far she has designed the offices of many Indian multinationals. Her clients include brands such as Olympus, Coen, William Grants & Sons, Abbott, Panasonic, Chorus, Toyota. She not only designs big corporate offices but also big warehouses, service centers, automated kitchens, everything. Recently he has designed Ducati’s office in Aerocity Delhi as well as a large warehouse of 40,000 square feet. She takes up free space for the office and converts it into ready-to-move offices, with a very beautiful appearance.
Asked how her journey has been so far, she says, “Hard work always brings fruit, and this has happened to me as well. I have worked with many large clients and faced many challenges in setting up offices in some places. ”
She had to work twice as hard, starting with a slight delay in life. “I come from a very traditional family, so I had to work towards making a career for myself while fulfilling my family duties. After completing all the household chores, I studied with my young son. I had to study regularly till midnight for many years, but of course, I do not regret it. ”
It is also very surprising that Divya never spent a penny on marketing or promotion. After people saw their designs, customers went on their own. When asked about her mantra of success, she proudly states, “There is no short-cut to success. I like to design and plan each of my projects with my own hands. I like to give my work my personal touch, although my team, of course, executes it, I go to sites and take reports of every step. In addition, my biggest USP is that all my tasks are completed over time and that is why my clients give me projects over and over again. ”
Today, Divya’s designing firm has an annual turnover of over 25 crores. Her success is indeed full of inspiration. They have proved that there is no age limit to start anything. If the goal is pursued with strong will power, success will surely knock.
