Chandrapur. Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 2019 has been implemented in the entire state. Due to this there has been a huge increase in the amount of fine. Vehicle owners violating the Motor Vehicles Act will have to pay a fine as per the amended rules. The law also provides for filing cases in the court for violation of various traffic rules. There is a fine of only Rs 500 for allowing minors to drive and allowing a person to drive without a license. However, now a fine of Rs 5,000 will have to be paid.
Earlier, a person was fined only Rs 500 for driving without a helmet and Rs 200 for using a triple seat. However, the central government amended the law in 2019. Now the Maharashtra government has decided to implement this law in the state. Therefore, if you do not have a helmet, you will be fined Rs 500. If there is a triple seat then a fine of Rs 1000 will be imposed. In both the cases the driver’s license will be suspended for three months.
Earlier, there was a fine of Rs 200 for talking on mobile while driving. Now the fine has been increased to Rs 500 and in case of second conviction, Rs 1,500 will be recovered. Driving a right side vehicle will attract a fine of one thousand rupees and a case will be registered in the court.
If found again, a fine of two thousand rupees will be imposed. Earlier, a fine of Rs 200 was imposed for this. Earlier, a fine of Rs 1,000 was imposed for violating the speed limit for four wheelers and heavy vehicles. Now there is a fine of Rs 2,000 on four wheelers and Rs 4,000 on heavy vehicles. Driving without insurance will attract a fine of Rs 2,000. If the same law is violated again, a fine of Rs 4,000 will be imposed.
As before, a fine of Rs 1,000 has been imposed for putting up fancy number plates. Dangerous driving will attract a fine of one thousand rupees and a case will be registered in the court. If the vehicle is found parked in Nopaking, Rang parking, a case will be registered in the court. Drunk-and-drive driving will result in criminal charges.
Along with this, a fine of 200 hundred, 500 hundred to 1000 rupees will be imposed for other common offenses. It is wrong to write press, police, advocate, pilot on the transport vehicle. There is a provision of fine in the Motor Vehicle Act. Earlier only Rs 200 was being recovered. A fine of Rs 500 has been imposed under the new law and a fine of Rs 1,500 will be imposed for repeated detection.
ST workers’ strike has started. Due to this, the number of two wheelers on the Chandrapur-Nagpur route has increased. Many people do not wear helmets while driving. Therefore, the number of people who died in accidents is increasing in a few days. That’s why helmets should be used while driving. Do not drive under the influence of alcohol. Chandrapur Traffic Branch Police Inspector Praveen Kumar Patil has appealed to the citizens to use the right side and not the left side.
