Archaeologists Found 6000 Year Old Child Skeleton: Archaeologists have found a 6000-year-old skeleton from the ‘cave of death’ (Cave of Horrors) in the Judaean Desert of Israel. This skeleton belongs to a child. This cave is adjacent to the Dead Sea. In the year 1960, 40 skeletons were found from here, after which the place was named as Cave of Death. This skeleton can be reached by rope, which is located in a dry area. A CT scan of this structure has also been done, which has revealed remains of flesh, bone and hair in the skeleton.
According to the report, the investigation has revealed that it is the skeleton of a girl, whose age was between 6 and 12 years. Prehistorian Ronit Lupu of Israel’s Antiquities Authority (IAA) said in a statement, “It is revealed that whoever buried the baby, wrapped it with a cloth and then the edges of the cloth were also tied (Archaeologists).” Just like parents wrap their child with a blanket. Some part of the cloth was also tied on the hands of the girl.
Fragments of manuscripts found
Old-time manuscripts have also been found with the skeleton. On whom something is written in the Hebrew language. The manuscripts are 2000 years old, written in the Greek translation of the books of Nahum and Zechariah (Cave of Horrors in Israel). Reportedly, this catalogue, written in Hebrew, was hidden during the Jewish revolt against Rome. Apart from this, one of the oldest baskets in the world has been found here, which is said to be about 10 thousand years old.
Arrow points and coins also found
Along with this, some arrow points and coins have been found from other caves located here. It is being said that this stuff belongs to the time of the Kochba revolution. A few years ago there were reports of loot from here. After this, in 2017, Israeli authorities started excavation in the area (Israel Archaeologists Found 6000 Year Old Child Skeleton).
