- Out of 97,088 technical constraints, only 89,986 farmers benefited
Yavatmal, 3,450 farmers of the district are still deprived of the benefits of Mahatma Phule Shetkari Debt Rahat Yojana launched by the state government due to various technical reasons like Aadhaar card authentication, non-linkage, monthly income of some beneficiaries above Rs 25,000. And the lack of sincere efforts to solve it. In such a situation, they will have to wait for a new loan.
Mahatma Phule Kisan Debt Relief Scheme was launched in the district in 2019. Since then, 1 lakh 8 thousand 385 accounts have been uploaded on the scheme portal. Out of which 93 thousand 436 loan accounts got a special number. In view of this, 3 thousand 652 accounts have not got any special number from the government due to technical reasons. In such a situation, there is confusion on whether such account holders will get the benefit of debt relief or not.
This is because the government has not yet given any explanation whether it has been canceled or kept pending. However, it has been clarified that a total of 3,450 loan accounts are pending at the government level. Seeing which such account holders can be expected to get relief from debt.
After coming to power, Mahatma Jotirao Phule Farmer Debt Relief Scheme, he announced this scheme and also decided to give incentive subsidy of up to Rs 50,000 to the regular paying farmers. For loan waiver, 1 lakh 8 thousand 385 applications were received from the district. Out of which 97 thousand 88 farmers were eligible as per the rules of the government. A total of Rs 660 crore 89 lakh was distributed to them.
Farmers were instructed to authenticate Aadhaar. Accordingly, 93 thousand 436 farmers have completed Aadhaar authentication. Out of which 89 thousand 986 farmers got benefit. Complaints were also received regarding 1,965 accounts. Out of which 1 thousand 898 complaints were resolved.
Eligible for fresh loan only if:
Only those farmers whose accounts have been credited under Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Kisan Debt Relief Scheme are eligible for fresh loans. However, those whose cases are still pending, they will not be able to take a new loan.
Banks themselves uploaded the information on the portal
Whether it is a national bank, a district bank or a district central cooperative bank, the information of farmers eligible for debt relief has been uploaded on the portal. Under this scheme, the amount of loan waiver will be directly deposited in the account of those farmers from whose account the amount has been deposited. Those farmers are eligible for new loans.
10 thousand 750 accounts ineligible
In the district, 3 thousand 450 loan accounts of Mahatma Phule Debt Relief Scheme are pending at the government level and 10 thousand 750 accounts have become ineligible. Information has been sent to the government level.
