Nagpur. Police arrested 3 accused in kidnapping of 16-year-old girl who went missing from MIDC. A local woman had taken him to Gujarat on the pretext of getting him work. There, with the help of a broker, she was sold for Rs 1 lakh and was forcibly married. The arrested accused include Visakha Pradeep Biswas (35), resident of Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar, Jayatala, Nikhil Girish Patel (35) and Prakash Medha Vankar (30), residents of Mondasa, Arvali, Gujarat. The victim teenager lives in the Vanadongri campus and is a student of class 11.
On 16 December 2021, the mother went to her work. Meanwhile, the girl disappeared from the house. The police started investigation by registering a case of kidnapping. Investigation revealed that the teenager was in contact with Vishakha, who lives in the Jaytala campus. Police took Vishakha into custody for questioning but she was not ready to tell anything. But call details and tower location revealed that she had gone to Gujarat.
Vishakha took the veil from Raj in a tough interrogation. On the pretext of getting a job in a clothes shop, Vishakha took the teenager with her to Ahmedabad. Going there, he asked the teenager to marry a young man for 5 days. When the victim refused, she was threatened with death.

With the help of broker Nikhil Patel, the girl’s deal was done for 1 lakh rupees. Forced marriage was done with Prakash. Immediately a team left for Gujarat. First Nikhil was arrested and after that Prakash was caught. The victim told during the investigation that she was forcibly married and handed over to Prakash. Prakash forcibly had physical relations with her. That is why the police registered a case under various sections including rape, child marriage law and POCSO Act along with kidnapping sections.
Under the guidance of DCP Lohit Matani and ACP Deepak Vanjari, Inspector Umesh Besarkar, API Sharda Bhopale, Head Constables Omprakash, Rajesh, Vijay, Ravindra Jadhav and Sachin carried out the action.
