Strong protest is set to take place in the next meeting
In the tender for hired buses, Tata Motors had bid Rs 54.85 for a kilometer of single deckers, while EB Trans Pvt Ltd had bid Rs 56. Tata was given bye-bye even after the difference of 1 rupee 15 paise per km. Similarly, Tata’s rate for midi buses was Rs 43.75, while EB Trans Pvt. Ltd. has also parallelized the rate. But instead of awarding the contract to Tata, 100% of the contract was given to EB Trans. The issue of Tata providing BEST buses at low rates is expected to be strongly opposed in the next meeting of BEST. Most of the BEST buses are from Tata company and giving better results, but a new company has been selected except Tata.
