Mumbai: In Maharashtra, politics intensified regarding the sale of wine in supermarkets. On one hand, the BJP is seen attacking the Uddhav government of the state for this decision of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Maharashtra, while the leaders of the ruling party are seen reversing the BJP. Responding to BJP’s protest on this matter, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that online delivery of liquor was planned in the state when BJP’s Fadnavis government was there. He asked what was that?
According to ANI, Sanjay Raut said on the government’s decision to allow the sale of liquor in supermarkets and walk-in stores in Maharashtra, the Fadnavis government had planned to formulate a policy to provide home delivery of liquor online, said BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya. That said, alcohol is medicine and drink it in moderation.

Let us tell you that this decision was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday. After which BJP has opposed the decision, on which on Friday also Sanjay Raut hit back at BJP. Raut had said that wine is not alcohol. If the sale of wine increases, then the farmers will get the benefit. We have done this to double the income of the farmers. BJP only opposes but does nothing for farmers.

Earlier, former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday warned that such a move will not be tolerated. In the last two years, the state government has not helped any farmer, poor, destitute. The priority of the government is only and only alcohol. The government should at least help the poor a little. Liquor became cheaper than petrol and diesel! Permission to sell liquor after the ban is lifted! Decision to issue new liquor licenses in Maharashtra! And now live wine from supermarkets, grocery stores! Maharashtra will not tolerate all this.
