For this, the interests of everyone within and around the country must be equal. If the peace process is to succeed, it will be necessary to ensure that the negotiating parties negotiate with good intentions and with a serious commitment to reach a political solution.

Jaishankar said, “We are trying to create an inclusive Afghanistan today that can overcome decades of conflict, but it will be possible only if we are honest with the principles that have been in the heart of Asia for a long time.” Are part of. ‘The basis of peace and progress in the region’
Jaishankar said at the ninth ministerial conference of ‘Heart of Asia-Istanbul’ process, ‘We are meeting at a time which is important not only for the people of Afghanistan but also for our vast region. Raised serious concern over the situation in Afghanistan
The Foreign Minister said that it is therefore necessary to collectively ensure that it is free from terrorism, violent fundamentalism, narcotics and criminal gangs. Expressing serious concern over the situation in Afghanistan, he said that whatever the promises were made, violence and bloodshed are a daily reality and there are very few signs of reduction in conflict. He said that in the last few months the incidents of killing common people and targeting them have increased and there has been a 45 percent increase in the number of civilian deaths in 2020 as compared to 2019.
The situation did not get better this year as well
The foreign minister said, ‘Even in 2021, the situation has not improved. The presence of foreign fighters in Afghanistan is particularly disturbing. He said that in such a situation, the members of Heart of Asia and the countries supporting it should give priority to pressure to bring immediate reduction in violence so that there can be a permanent and overall ceasefire. Jaishankar said that India has been supportive of all efforts towards furthering the dialogue between the Afghan government and the Taliban, including the inter-Afghan dialogue.
‘Contributed three billion dollars’
The External Affairs Minister said that India welcomes any step towards a permanent and total ceasefire in Afghanistan and a political solution in the true sense. He said, ‘India is committed to fully support Afghanistan in this phase of change (Heart of Asia Iistanbul Process). We have contributed three billion dollars in the development of Afghanistan. Jaishankar said last week that India clearly wants to see a sovereign, democratic and inclusive Afghanistan that takes care of its country’s minorities.
Jaishankar meets Turkish and Iran ministers
He had said, ‘There is a process of peace and reconciliation and everyone is saying that the Taliban is trying and changing. At the moment let’s wait, then let’s see. ‘ During this visit of Jaishankar, there is also a possibility of meeting leaders of other countries on the sidelines of the conference. A day earlier, he has met with the foreign ministers of Turkey and Iran and discussed bilateral issues. The Taliban and the Afghan government are in talks directly to end the 19-year-old war. Thousands of people lost their lives in this war and many parts of the country were destroyed. India has been a big partner in peace and stability efforts in Afghanistan.
