With this, Maharashtra Minister Balasaheb Thorat has also come under the grip of Corona. Now troubled by the shadow of Corona, the Thackeray government modified its previous order late on Thursday night and has now implemented new restrictions.
What are the new rules:
According to the new order by the Maharashtra government, now –
- No more than 50 people are now allowed in weddings.
- Only 20 people are allowed in the funeral.
- Section-144 is applicable to avoid crowd.
- Restaurants, bars and clubs were allowed till 12 pm for the New Year celebrations.
- The events of the auditorium will also remain till 9 pm only.
- Citizens can celebrate Thirty First in their homes till 12 midnight.
- There will also be no public events inside the apartments and gated societies.
- There will be no gathering of people in any public place after 9 pm.
It is worth noting that these restrictions will come into effect exclusively from the midnight of December 31 and will continue in full force till further orders. Earlier, the Maharashtra government had imposed Section-144 in Mumbai till 7 January due to the increasing cases of corona. Apart from this, the police had also banned New Year celebrations and parties in restaurants, hotels, bars, pubs, resorts and clubs.
Let us tell you that in Maharashtra, the panic of Corona has increased once again. At the same time, more than 5600 cases of corona were reported in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. Of these, 3000 were found in Mumbai alone. Also, there has been a tremendous explosion of Omicron variants in the state. For the first time in the state, 198 new cases have been reported in a day, after which the number of infected has now increased to 450. In which 125 people have recovered and gone home after recovering.
