Aurangabad: In order to overcome the shortage of natural gas in the historic Aurangabad city, the internal works of the city will be launched by the PNG scheme Central Petroleum and Natural Gas, Urban Development on March 2 at 11 am. In the hands of Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, it will be on the grounds of Marathwada Cultural Circle of the city. This information was given by the Union Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Bhagwat Karad in a press conference.
He said that apart from Union Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve, he himself would be present as a special guest in the program. In the program, District Guardian Minister Subhash Desai, MP Imtiaz Jalil, MLA Haribhau Bagde, MLA Atul Sawe, MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, MLA Sanjay Sirsath, Prashant Bamb, Ambadas Danve, Satish Chavan, Vikram Kale will be present as chief guests.

The Natural Gas Pipeline scheme is being brought in the city from Shringoda in Ahmednagar district via Ahmednagar, Nevasa Phata, Gangapur, Waluj. Dr. Karad told that two years ago, he got an opportunity to work in the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas only after his selection as a member of the Rajya Sabha. Taking advantage of this, he started Petroleum Corporation Ltd. for the city of Aurangabad. Under City Gas Distribution ie CGD project got approved.
Social change will happen in Marathwada
The Union Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Karad claimed that there would be a big social and economic change not only in Aurangabad but in Marathwada due to the gas pipeline. He said that through this scheme, citizens will get huge benefit due to gas pipeline, industrial and commerce customers will get gas through domestic pipeline. PNG gas is an environmental supplement. When this gas is leaked somewhere, it immediately dissolves in the air. Due to which the chances of accidents are very less.
The plan will be completed by March 2025
In particular, this gas will be 30 to 35 percent cheaper than the gas used in the house at present. The main gas pipeline in the plan is of 218 km. The still line in the city will be of 66 km. The network of PNG gas pipeline within the city will be 1,555 km. Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad claimed that this scheme would be completed by March 2025. In the end, he told that to complete the plan, the work of laying pipeline from Shrigonda to Aurangabad with NOC from the departments like Municipal Corporation, National Highway, PWD, Mahavitaran etc. is going on at war level. BJP city president Sanjay Kenekar, former mayor Bapu Ghadamode, Kachru Ghodke etc. were present in the press conference.
