New Delhi. Indian Vaccines against Coronavirus have proved to be much better than other vaccines in the world. In western countries, the third wave of corona caused an uproar, while in India, cases of corona increased but the death rate was very low. After the devastation in the second wave of Corona, the effect of the emphasis on vaccination by the central government was visible in the third wave. The vaccination of youth of 15-18 years was started from 3 January. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, more than 70 percent of youth in the age group of 15-18 years in the country have been administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the government’s CoWIN portal, a total of 6,69,85,609 youth in the age group of 15-18 years have been vaccinated against COVID so far. The Union Health Ministry in its daily update today said that so far 5,20,32,858 first dose and 1,47,92,245 second dose have been administered to adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years.

Youth should vaccinate as soon as possible: Mandaviya
At the same time, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has appealed to the youth to get the corona vaccine at the earliest. He tweeted, “Young India is further strengthening the world’s largest vaccination campaign. More than 70% of our youth aged 15-18 have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. I appeal to all eligible young friends to get vaccinated at the earliest.”

172.75 crore doses of corona vaccine were administered
According to the Health Ministry, India’s total vaccination count crossed 172.75 crores with over 44 lakh vaccine doses as of 7 pm on Saturday. The ministry said that more than 1.72 crore booster doses have been given so far to health workers (HCWs), frontline workers (FLWs) and people of 60 years and above.
