MumbaiPolitics has heated up after the statement of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Meanwhile, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said on Monday that the country could have seen a Prime Minister of his party.
According to ANI, Raut said, We took BJP from bottom to top in Maharashtra. There was Shiv Sena wave in North India after Babri and if we had fought elections at that time, we (Shiv Sena) would have PM in the country but we had left it for them. This statement of Sanjay Raut comes amid the ongoing verbal attacks between Shiv Sena and BJP. “BJP uses Hindutva only for power.

Earlier on Sunday, Uddhav Thackeray had said that Shiv Sena wasted 25 years as part of alliance with BJP. According to media reports, Uddhav Thackeray had said that Shiv Sena has wasted its time with BJP for 25 years. “My only disappointment is that at one point of time he was our friend,” Thackeray said.

According to reports, Uddhav Thackeray also reiterated his party’s stand on Hindutva and said that the ideology is not owned by the BJP. The Shiv Sena chief told us about Hindutva. We wanted power for Hindutva. What we are seeing now, that Hindutva which is done by these people (BJP) is just a sham. His Hindutva is for power. We have not left Hindutva but BJP. Maharashtra BJP also retaliated on this whole matter, BJP leader Ram Kadam said, before delivering lecture on Hindutva, Uddhav Thackeray should introspect whether Shiv Sena is following Balasaheb Thackeray’s ideology. He had said that in politics and in life, his party would never join the Congress and if such circumstances arise, he would prefer to close the party (office).
