Nashik : Wildlife will be captured by raiding the homes of the customers who have bought wildlife from Pet Shop drivers and are keeping them in the house. This information was given by Pankaj Garg, Deputy Conservator of Forests of the Western Forest Department. Also, the customers who are keeping wildlife, appealed to them to immediately hand over the wildlife to the forest department to avoid this action. The pet shop of the city was raided by the Western Forest Department’s Pathak. During this operation, the Forest Department had captured many protected wildlife and animals like many rare tortoises, parrots, frogs, hedgehogs. After this, after the information received from the suspects, a campaign was started to capture the customers who had bought turtles, parrots and animals. Along with this, the investigation of all pet shops in the city has been started. From whom customer information is being collected.
On this background, Garg has appealed to deposit the wildlife with the department. In the action of the Forest Department, if wildlife is found with the person concerned, action will be taken against those who take possession of it and maintain it under the Wildlife Act 1927. Along with this, if the exotic species of wildlife, birds are not registered on the environment system, they will also be captured. Wildlife captured during raids in the city’s wildlife smuggling case will be released in their natural habitat. The court has given permission for this, but before leaving this wildlife, the court has also given orders to the forest department to examine them through veterinary officers and prepare a certificate related to that.

So far, the Forest Department has captured 61 wildlife. The volunteers of Eco-Eco Foundation under the guidance of veterinary officers are taking care of them.
