Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad may have ordered to start schools from class I to XII in Maharashtra from January 24, but the local administration and the education department have been restored to take the decision to start schools at the district level. On which a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate on Friday. In the meeting, Collector Pavneet Kaur instructed that in view of the increasing number of corona patients in the district, a decision would be taken to start the school after January 28.
In this regard, he directed the education officers that by January 28, if the number of patients is less, a meeting will be called once again to take a decision in this regard. In view of the increasing number of corona patients in Maharashtra, the education department had ordered the closure of schools till February 15. But the state government has handed over this decision to the local district administration by giving instructions to start the school at the local level.

The number of COVID victims in the district is increasing day by day. In view of this, no decision has been taken regarding starting the school in the district from the point of view of security. A decision in this regard will be taken after taking stock of the situation within the next one week. Today the number of COVID victims is more in the district.
