WhatsApp will initiate action against users who have not accepted the Privacy Policy from today. However, it will not delete users’ accounts but will remove some basic features.
Users are still in a twitch about accepting the WhatsApp privacy policy because they have little knowledge about what it actually represents. Meanwhile, Signal, an encrypted messaging app, has made full use of the opportunity to attract users to its platform. A few days before the deadline of 15 May, WhatsApp announced that it would not delete the accounts of users, even if they did not accept the privacy policy by 15 May. Today, WhatsApp reminded users by making a post on Twitter, but Signal has taken the pleasure of WhatsApp on this occasion.
Signal, a staunch opponent of WhatsApp, retweeted WhatsApp’s post and wrote that today is a great day to switch to privacy.

WhatsApp first informed users about the new privacy policy through in-app notifications in January. The company was first to implement the new conditions on 8 February, but in view of the hostile environment surrounding it, the company postponed the date to 15 May. Now, according to the latest update, WhatsApp will not delete the account which does not accept the new policy but will take away the access to some features from them.
If users do not accept the new privacy policy, then some of the basic features will be lost. This includes not receiving calls or notifications, and not receiving messages on the phone. After a few more weeks of implementing the privacy policy, users will not be able to receive incoming calls or notifications and WhatsApp will stop sending messages and calls to your phone.
