The Election Commission of India has announced the dates for the assembly elections to be held in 5 states on Saturday. Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra said, elections will be held for 40 assembly seats in Goa, our goal is to conduct safe elections in view of COVID. The Election Commission has informed that, in Uttar Pradesh, polling will be held in 7 phases from February 10 to March 7; Polling in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa on February 14 and Manipur on February 27 and March 3; Counting of votes will take place on March 10.
