Delhi Weekend Curfew: Weekend curfew and opening of shops in Delhi after a meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the apex COVID-19 management body held on Thursday to review the situation of corona epidemic in the national capital. It has been decided to remove the implemented odd-even system.
According to news agency ANI, however, the Night Curfew will continue in Delhi. At the same time, DDMA will consider the decision to open the school in the next meeting. ANI quoted sources as saying that the weekend curfew has ended in Delhi, although the night curfew will continue.

Opening of schools will be considered in the next meeting of DDMA. Weddings will take place with a maximum of 200 people or 50 per cent capacity. While bars, restaurants and cinema halls will also open with 50 percent capacity. Government offices will also function with 50 per cent capacity.

Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal chaired a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Thursday regarding the situation in the national capital. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also present in this meeting of DDMA.
Last week, the Delhi government allowed all private offices in the national capital to function outside containment zones with 50 per cent attendance. However, DDMA had advised private offices to reduce office timing, attendance and staff volume.
Earlier in the month, the DDMA had decided to impose curfew in Delhi on Saturday and Sunday to contain the COVID-19 cases. Sources said that the decision to relax restrictions has been taken in view of the declining number of cases of COVID-19 in Delhi.
The weekend curfew imposed in view of the increase in the cases of COVID-19 is in force from 10 pm on Friday till 5 am on Monday. On Wednesday, 7,498 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Delhi and 29 patients died due to the epidemic. According to the Health Department data, the infection rate was recorded at 10.59 percent.
During this, 11,164 people became healthy, taking the total number of cured people in the national capital to 17,46,972. At the same time, less than 15 percent of the beds reserved for COVID-19 patients in hospitals are patients. Earlier on Tuesday, 6,028 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the capital and 31 patients died.
