ST workers have been on strike for more than two and a half months for the demand of merger. STs have suffered crores of rupees due to this strike. The state government also increased the salaries of the employees. so that they can return to work. But the workers are still on strike. After this, finally the suspension action was started on the employees.
Dismissal action was also taken against some employees. So far, action has been taken against 272 employees in the district. But the workers are still on strike. At present, the state government has stopped the action against the employees and appealed to them to return to work.
The government has also said that no action will be taken against the returning employees. But some workers are still on strike. At the same time, some employees have started returning to work. So far 492 employees have returned to work and 5 retired employees have been appointed. Due to which on Saturday 22 January, 39 buses took 110 ferries and traveled 8 thousand 359 km.
In which Rs 3 lakh 74 thousand 277 was earned. On the other hand, on Sunday 23 January, 35 buses took 100 ferries and traveled 7 thousand 226 km and earned Rs 2 lakh 94 thousand 125. In these two days, a total of 210 ferries have been done in the district and a distance of 15 thousand 585 km has been covered. Due to which ST has got a total income of Rs.6 lakh 68 thousand 402.
