Essential ingredients of gram flour Malpu
Milk – 1 cup
Mawa or Khoya – 400 grams (1 cup) pumpkin
Refined flour – 500 grams (1 cup)
Sugar – 400 grams (1 1/2 cups)
Saffron – 10 – 25 pieces (if you want)
Ghee – for frying
Green cardamom – 2-4 (grind finely)
Pistachios – 8-12 (finely chopped)
Gram Flour
Fennel powder – 1 tbsp
Cardamom Powder – Spoon
Coconut powder – Spoon
Sugar-cup
Finely chopped almonds and pistachios for garnishing
Method of gram flour
- Put milk and sugar in a vessel and keep it for an hour! Sieve gram flour in a plate, add fennel, cardamom powder and coconut powder and mix well!
- When the sugar dissolves in the milk, add this sugar-milk mixture to the gram flour and mix it well. Keep this mixture too thick and not too thin!
- If the paste is not well prepared then add some water and whisk it. Heat ghee in a pan When the ghee gets hot, take a pan with gram flour and spread it in the shape of a puri and pour it into the ghee.
- Fry the Malpu until it turns red! Serve the Malpua in a serving plate by garnishing it with almonds and pistachios! If you want, you can serve Rabdi on Malpua! Now put oil on the gas and put oil in it, with the help of a spoon, put round balls on a slow flame and after roasting it put them in sugar syrup. After 20-30 minutes, remove from sugar syrup and serve in a plate.
