Tata Motors has launched its new ultra sleek T.Series range of intermediate and light commercial vehicle (I & LCV) trucks in India. The three models, namely T.6, T.7, and T.9 Ultra T.Series are built on a modular platform, offered in various deck length options and 4-tire or 6-tire combinations. The new ultra-sleek trucks are available in various deck lengths, ranging from 10-ft to 20-ft, while payload capacity ranges from 3.3-ton to 5.2-ton.
Prices of the new Tata Ultra Sleek T series start at Rs 13.99 lakh for the T.6 model, Rs 15.29 lakh for the T.7 and 17.29 lakh for the T.9 model. (All prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The company says that the truck will be best for transporting the COVID-19 vaccine for carrying LPG cylinders and refrigerator containers, pharmaceuticals as well as food items such as eggs, milk and fresh agricultural products.

This new ultra slim T Series from Tata can be seen with features such as a clear-lens headlamp, LED tail lamp, dashboard-mounted gear lever, tilt and telescopic power steering, in-built music system and USB fast charging port. Tata Motors says that this truck is capable of running at a fast pace with a slim design and is capable of providing good revenue to the customers.
Talking about the engine, the company has installed BS 6-compliant 4 SPCR engine which is capable of generating a maximum power of 100hp and peak torque of 300Nm. Girish Pagh, President, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle, said, “As a leader in the field of commercial vehicles, Tata Motors has set a benchmark by launching futuristic, smart products in various sectors in the market.” Tata Motors has said that the maintenance cost of these trucks is very low. In this, you get a warranty of 3 or 3 lakh kilometers.
