A suspect is at giant and a “major response” is underneath method after a girl in her 70s died after being attacked in a park in Exeter.
Police in Devon have launched a homicide investigation and are trying to find a person they are saying might be “armed and dangerous”.
Officers had been referred to as at round 4pm on Saturday following reviews of a girl having been severely assaulted in Ludwell Valley Park, within the Wonford space of Exeter.
Emergency providers attended however a neighborhood lady in her 70s was declared useless on the scene. Her subsequent of kin have been knowledgeable.
Superintendent Tom Holmes, mentioned: “Cordons are in place together with at Wonford Sports Centre and police models stay within the space.
“At this time the suspect remains at large and a major response is under way.
“Tonight we have now taken the steps of releasing a picture of a person we have to determine in connection to the homicide investigation.”
The picture was captured at 3.17pm exterior Wonford Sports Centre in Exeter and Supt Holmes mentioned it’s “vital” that the person is recognized and positioned.
Supt Holmes added: “We believe that this man could be armed and dangerous, so we are telling the public not to approach him in any circumstances and immediately call 999 if you have seen this man.”
