A 26-year-old mom has died in Mexico after being bitten within the leg by a shark.
The lady, who lived domestically, was swimming together with her five-year-old daughter when the assault occurred.
She is known to have died from blood loss from the huge chunk wound on her leg. Her daughter was unhurt.
The assault occurred within the waters off the seaside city of Melaque within the state of Jalisco in western Mexico on Saturday, authorities stated.
Rafael Araiza, the pinnacle of the native civil defence workplace, stated the girl and her daughter have been swimming in direction of a floating play platform about 25m (75ft) from the shore when the assault occurred.
She is alleged to have been attempting to spice up her youngster onto the platform when the shark bit her.

Mr Araiza stated regardless of their fast response, rescuers have been unable to save lots of her.
Authorities closed the seashores in Melaque and the better-known seaside city of Barra de Navidad to swimmers in response.
Shark assaults are understood to be comparatively uncommon in Mexico. A US diver survived a shark chunk on the forearm in Magdalena Bay off the Baja California Sur coast in 2019.
