Welfare: Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation has done a great job in the COVID period. MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde made this remark while inspecting the COVID Hospital being set up by KDMC at Dombivli MIDC. In the first and second wave of COVID, many Jumbo COVID Centers have been set up for COVID patients through KDMC.
He said that the hospital is being set up for the convenience of the patients, especially the pediatric patients and it will be started as and when required. MLA Ravindra Chavan said that this well-equipped COVID hospital will definitely benefit the citizens, especially the patients from nearby rural areas.

On this occasion, KDMC Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi said that Rs 5.50 crore was provided by the foster minister from MMRDC for setting up a temporary covid hospital in Dombivli East Industrial Area and on the suggestion of MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, MLA Ravindra Chavan. A well-equipped hospital is being set up at the Vibha Udyog site, it will soon be started to serve the patients.

There will be no shortage of beds
Giving information, the commissioner said that in view of the increasing spread of corona in the KDMC area, there will be no shortage of beds for corona patients. There are 198 ICU beds on the ground floor, 238 oxygen beds on the first floor and 53 ICU beds and 42 oxygen beds on the second floor, the beds on the second floor are reserved for children. Up-to-date fire extinguishing systems have been installed on both the lower and upper floors. A stretcher lift has been arranged for the patients on the ground floor.

Similarly, about 21 thousand liters of oxygen tank has been made available in Vibha Hospital. City Engineer Sapna Koli-Devanpally, Former Mayor Vinita Rane, Former Corporator Vishwanath Rane, Dipesh Mhatre, Dr. Prashant Patil, Neeti Upasani, Medical Health Officer Dr. Ashwini Patil, Dr. Pratibha Panpatil, Vinod Daund, Executive Engineer Prashant.
