Westlife star Mark Feehily has introduced he’s “temporarily” standing down from all touring with the band resulting from what he known as “health challenges”.
The 43-year-old Irish singer, who just lately had surgical procedure, mentioned “my recovery must now become my absolute priority at this time”.
Feehily revealed he has “had ongoing medical problems” since he went for surgical procedure in August 2020 after which developed “severe sepsis” resulting from a complication.
He described how over three and a half years he was handled in a hospital intensive care unit throughout COVID lockdown restrictions, was recognized with pneumonia and developed a big “incisional hernia” which wanted surgical procedure to repair.
“This would be my fourth major surgery since the start of it all, but I had no option,” Feehily mentioned in a press release posted on Instagram.
“That surgery took place recently and thankfully it went according to plan but with that, my recovery must now become my absolute priority at this time.
“It is with the upmost degree of remorse that I need to now briefly stand down from all Westlife touring till a time that I’ve had an opportunity to totally get well from the turbulent journey I’ve been by way of as a person.
“Believe me, I wish things could be different.”

The singer is ready to overlook the band’s final exhibits of The Wild Dreams Tour, which has been happening throughout the globe since 2022, and is because of head to the US and South America from 11 March.
Feehily went on to thank his household, bandmates and medical employees for his or her assist, telling followers: “I have to make the right decision for my health and wellbeing, for my family, and for myself as a person. Please don’t worry.
“I’ll see you very quickly lovely individuals.”
The rest of the group – Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne – said they would “proceed to fly the Westlife flag larger than ever” whereas wishing Feehily properly.
His well being battles have meant he missed a few of Westlife’s exhibits again in 2022 after being recognized with pneumonia.
The band, alongside former member Brian McFadden, discovered fame after forming in 1998.
They disbanded in 2012 after 14 years of success, however reunited in 2018 with out McFadden – who left the group in 2004.
