Two NHS nurses have died after they had been concerned in a crash close to to the Grand Canyon.
Tatiana Brandao, 30, and Raquel Moreira, 28, had been rear passengers in a Jeep when it was concerned in a collision with a bus.
The pair, who each labored at University Hospital Southampton (UHS), Hampshire, had been on vacation within the US on the time.
The crash came about round 8am native time on Friday on a freeway in Arizona, which serves as an entrance to the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
On Friday, bosses at UHS paid tribute to the 2 girls.
Gail Byrne, UHS chief nursing officer, mentioned: “The entire nursing family at University Hospital Southampton has been left shocked and saddened by the tragic deaths of two much-loved colleagues as they enjoyed a holiday together in America.

“The friends were well-known for their kindness, empathy and enthusiasm.
“Both had been enthusiastic about nursing and offering the easiest look after our sufferers. Outside of labor they shared a love for brand new experiences, journey and residing life to the fullest.”
Ms Byrne mentioned the ladies had been Portuguese nationals.
Tatiana joined the belief seven years in the past and was described by Ms Byrne as a “highly respected member of the neurology department”.
Raquel had labored at UHS for the previous 5 years and was a “very valued part of the stroke advanced clinical practice (ACP) team”.
“I know I speak on behalf of the entire UHS workforce in saying they will be sorely missed. We send our love and condolences to their families at this very sad time,” Ms Byrne added.
