Mumbai: The third wave of Corona, which started from the month of December, seems to be dying now. On Sunday, the number of new corona patients came down to less than 10 thousand. In the last 24 hours, 57,534 people were tested in which 7,895 patients were found to be corona positive. However, like Saturday, 11 patients died on Sunday too.
In the third wave, more than 20,000 patients were found for three consecutive days between January 6 and January 8. However, since then the number of patients has decreased. After seeing fluctuations in the number of patients for a few days, the number of patients was decreasing continuously for five days. Whereas during this more than 50 thousand people have been investigated. The number of patients had come down to 13,702 on Thursday, 11,317 on Friday and 10,661 on Saturday. On Sunday, it fell further to 7,895. There are still 60 thousand 371 active patients in Mumbai. Mumbai’s H West ie Bandra West is the only ward where the weekly growth rate is 2.06 percent. In all other wards, the weekly growth rate is below 2 per cent. C Ward Dongri has the lowest weekly growth rate of 0.78 percent.

Only 542 patients in institutional quarantine

39 buildings sealed in M East

41,327 new cases found in the state
On Sunday, 41,327 new cases of corona were found in the state and 29 patients died. The cases of corona are decreasing in urban areas in the state, while the infection of corona is being seen more in rural areas. During the day 40,386 patients were discharged from the hospital.

Mumbai has 653 Omicron patients, followed by Pune 542, Pimpri Chinchwad 113, Nagpur 90, Sangli 49, patients.
