Snow has accompanied the primary weekend of spring.
After temperatures remained narrowly above freezing on Friday night, individuals residing close to Bristol woke as much as 4-5cm of snow on Saturday.
The Met Office had yellow warnings in place for elements of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Wiltshire early on Saturday morning.
That was partly to warn the emergency providers that snow was predicted to fall on the junction of the M4 and M5, north of Bristol.
There was a “little more snow than expected”, Met Office forecaster Simon Partridge mentioned, because it ended up falling on elements of the broader South West and South Wales.
With cameras exhibiting pictures of snow on the motorway community, the Highways Agency put out a warning, advising individuals to depart extra time for his or her journeys.
