Covid19 Vaccination India: A nationwide vaccination campaign against COVID 19 is going to start in the country from January 16. Delivery of the Corona vaccine ‘Covishield’ (Covishield) by Oxford-AstraZeneca and produced by the Serum Institute of India (SII) for this vaccination began in various states of the country from 12 January. Bharat Biotech also started delivery of its COVID 19 vaccine Covaxin from Wednesday. The company has said that it has dispatched the first consignment of Kovaxin to 11 cities by air. These include Ganavaram, Guwahati, Patna, Delhi, Kurukshetra, Bengaluru, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Chennai and Lucknow.
The first batch left for Delhi from the Pune plant of Serum Institute. On Tuesday, 56.5 lakh doses of the vaccine were flown for 13 cities on the flights of Air India, SpiceJet, GoAir and Indigo Airlines. The government on Monday ordered the Serum Institute for 1.1 crore doses of ‘Kovishield’. The government has placed an order for the purchase of 5.5 million doses of Covaxin developed by Bharat Biotech and ICMR. At the same time, Bharat Biotech has decided to give 16.5 lakh doses of vaccine to the government for free. A vowel of Covaxin will have 20 doses, while a vowel of Covaxin will have 10 doses.
It has been said by the Central Government that 1.10 crore doses of Kovishield from Serum Institute and 55 lakh doses of Kovaxin from Bharat Biotech will be delivered to all the states and union territories by 14 January.
Chhattisgarh
In Chhattisgarh, more than three lakh vaccines of Kovishield will be made available for vaccination of health workers and personnel working on the advance front. The vaccine is expected to reach the state by 13 January. In the first batch, three lakh 23 thousand vaccines of Kovishield manufactured by Serum Institute of India are being provided to Chhattisgarh by the Government of India.
Kerala
Kerala gets its first batch of Kovishield vaccine. The first consignment of the Kovishield vaccine from the Pune-based Serum Institute of India arrived at the Cochin International Airport on Wednesday morning. The second flight carrying the vaccine is expected to arrive at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport this afternoon. Sources in the National Health Mission said that out of 4.33 lakh doses of the vaccine, 1100 months will be sent, which is an enclave of Puducherry and is situated between Kozhikode and Kannur districts.
Goa
The first consignment of 23500 doses of Kovishield vaccine arrived in Goa from Mumbai on Wednesday morning. About 18000 health workers of the state will be covered during the initial phase.
Jharkhand
COVID-19 The first batch of vaccine reached Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand on Wednesday morning. In the first batch, 16 thousand violations have been sent.
Uttar Pradesh
The corona vaccine reached Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, by special plane on Tuesday evening at 4 pm. Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh received 11 lakh Covishield vaccines at Amausi Airport.
Mizoram
Mizoram will get 18500 doses of COVID 19 vaccine under the first phase of Corona vaccination. In the first phase, 14107 healthcare workers and 314 central healthcare workers have been identified for vaccination in the first phase.
Karnataka
In Karnataka, COVID has reached second consignment with 1.47 lakh doses of 19 vaccine Kovishield. In the first batch, 6.48 lakh doses were reached.
Madhya Pradesh
The vaccine has reached 5.06 lakh doses in Madhya Pradesh. Under the first phase, 5 lakh healthcare and frontline workers are going to be vaccinated in the state.
Odisha
Odisha has got the first consignment of the Kovishield vaccine. PK Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary of the state’s Health and Family Welfare Department, says that the state has been allocated 4.08 lakh doses of Kovishield and 30000 doses of Bharat Biotech Kovaxin are also to be received soon.
Bihar
The first consignment of 54900 vials of the Kovishield vaccine has arrived in Patna, the capital of Bihar.
Himachal Pradesh
93000 doses of Kovishield have reached in Himachal Pradesh.
Sikkim
Sikkim is going to get 12500 doses of COVID 19 vaccine soon. For the first phase of vaccination, 5511 frontline workers, 9414 healthcare workers and 148 central health workers have been registered on the Covin platform.
West Bengal and North Eastern States
The first consignment of 10 lakh doses of Kovishield vaccine has reached Kolkata for West Bengal and North Eastern states. Of this, 6.89 lakh doses are for West Bengal. The remaining doses are for the North Eastern states and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Gujarat
Gujarat has received 2.76 lakh doses of the Kovishield vaccine.
Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu has received 536500 lakh doses of Kovishield. Later the state is going to get 20000 doses of Covaxin.
Delhi
The capital Delhi has received about 2.50 lakh doses of the Kovishield vaccine.
Telangana
Telangana has received 3.64 lakh doses of Kovishield.
Andra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh has received 4.96 lakh doses of Bharat Biotech Kovaxine.
Maharashtra
Maharashtra has so far received 9.83 lakh doses of COVID 19 vaccine. The state needs 17.5 lakh doses for the first phase of vaccination. Maharashtra has received 9.63 lakh doses of Kovishield and 20000 doses of Kovaxin.
Punjab
Punjab has got the first shipment with 204500 lakh doses of Kovishield.
Uttarakhand
On Wednesday, the first consignment of 1.13 lakh doses of Kovishield reached Dehradun Airport.
Assam, Meghalaya
The first batch has arrived at Guwahati Airport with 2.40 lakh doses of COVID 19 vaccine for Assam and Meghalaya.
