Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi has once again spewed venom against India. Alvi accused India of being involved in a ‘hybrid’ war against Pakistan by using the land of Afghanistan and supporting terrorism. The Pakistani President said that India is trying to destabilize Pakistan. He also said that recently the blast outside the house of Hafiz Saeed in Johar Town, Lahore was done with the support of India.
Hafiz Saeed is the conspirator of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack and the leader of the banned organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa. A statement issued by Alvi’s office said that India is carrying out terrorist activities in the country to destabilize Pakistan. Alvi also accused India of spreading terror on Pakistani soil. He said that India is conspiring to destabilize Pakistan by giving money to terrorist organizations. Earlier, India’s Foreign Ministry has denied these allegations of Pakistan. India had said that the claims of alleged evidence of India’s involvement in the terrorist attacks in Pakistan are fictitious.
Alvi made poisonous statements even during meeting with Turkish army chief
The Pakistani President met Turkey’s Army Chief General Umit Dundar recently. During this too, Alvi made baseless and poisonous statements about India. Alvi claimed that India promotes terrorism in Pakistan through Afghanistan. He trains terrorists and gives them money. He called upon General Umit to help Pakistan. This statement of the Pakistani President comes at a time when Turkey and Pakistan are jointly conducting several cooperation programs in the field of covert defense.
Pakistan’s emphasis on strengthening relations with Turkey
Arif Alvi said that illegal trade of uranium used in atomic bombs takes place in India, but the international community is silent on this. He also raised the issue of abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir. The Pakistani President stressed that Pakistan, along with Turkey, would further strengthen cooperation between the two. He said that huge opportunities exist between the two countries in the fields of trade, defense and culture. Significantly, relations between Turkey and Pakistan have improved a lot in recent years and both countries keep making rhetoric about Kashmir.
