Olly Alexander, the UK’s Eurovision act, has shared a snippet of his new monitor Dizzy, which he’ll carry out on the tune contest in May.
The Years and Years frontman was introduced final December as the UK’s entry for the 68th version of the singing competitors.
Posting a photograph of himself on a swing on social media on Wednesday, Alexander introduced the title of the tune and mentioned “my brand new single is coming March 1st!!”
Alexander added: “I actually can’t wait to perform this on the Eurovision stage.”
He later posted a 20-second teaser of the monitor in a video of himself singing the tune – co-written with producer Danny L Harle – whereas wearing a pin-striped outfit, carrying a big, orange and brown broach.
In the clip, the English pop star seems on a balcony and sings “won’t you make me dizzy for your kisses” and “will you take my hand and steer me”.
Alexander will carry out Dizzy on the tune contest in Malmo, Sweden, in May and can hope to carry out higher for the UK than the 2023 entry.
Mae Muller’s I Wrote A Song completed second from backside in final 12 months’s competitors held in Liverpool.
The UK’s Eurovision entrants have principally struggled lately, ending up in final place in 2021 and 2019.
However, Sam Ryder’s Spaceman soared in 2022, taking the UK to second place behind Ukraine.
