A lacking man’s canine has been discovered useless in a river, as officers proceed to go looking the world for him.
The canine, a sandy-coloured goldendoodle known as Maddy, was discovered useless within the River Aire in Woodlesford, close to Leeds, on Wednesday morning.
She went lacking with Graham Connell, 64, who left his house in Morley, West Yorkshire, by automobile at about 3.45pm on Monday to go for a run.
He was reported lacking at 7.35pm after he did not return house.
Maddy was recovered from the river close to Wyke Beck. Her id was confirmed by microchip.
Underwater search officers are persevering with to look within the space round Woodlesford Lock, the place Mr Connell commonly runs.
They are persevering with to enchantment for any sightings that would help the investigation.

Detective Inspector John Graham, of Leeds District CID, mentioned: “We are persevering with to hold out searches of the broader space round Woodlesford Lock to seek out Graham and we’re eager to listen to from anybody who might have seen him and his canine at any level alongside his standard operating route on late Monday afternoon.
“We are also continuing to support the family following the discovery of their dog this morning and keep them updated as we progress our searches for Graham.”
Mr Connell is described as being 5ft 6in tall, slim with greying darkish brown hair, which is wavy on prime.
He was sporting a fluorescent yellow operating prime, black leggings, and purple trainers, on the time he went lacking.
His automobile, a gray Mercedes GLE 400 SUV, was discovered parked within the automobile park on Bullough Lane, close to the doorway to Woodlesford Lock.
