US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi over phone on Afghan peace talks and other bilateral and local issues on Sunday.

At the same time, he also gave importance to the steps taken in the direction of stopping terrorism of Pakistan. Price said he also talked about the potential to expand US-Pakistan trade and commercial relations and improve regional connectivity in South Asia. By referring to peace talks with Pakistan by America, it seems that it can increase the role of Islamabad.
America should restore peace between Israel and Palestine
At the same time, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi mentioned the situation that arose in the Middle East in a conversation with Blinken. Qureshi told Blinken that Pakistanis are deeply concerned by the deteriorating human condition in Israel and Palestinian territories. He underlined the importance of America’s role in resolving the situation arising there, restoring peace and ensuring justice. Qureshi highlighted the importance of a new Pakistan with a focus on geo-economics.
Afghan peace process shared responsibility of all stakeholders
The Pakistani Foreign Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support for the Afghan peace process, saying that achieving a peaceful political solution in Afghanistan is a shared responsibility of all Afghan parties as well as key international and regional stakeholders. Underlining the importance of the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, Qureshi said that this historic opportunity to secure a reduction in violence, a permanent ceasefire, an inclusive and comprehensive political solution must be grabbed by both hands.
