An inmate has been stabbed at HMP Wandsworth simply days after a terror suspect escaped from the jail.
The man is in a crucial situation and was taken to a significant trauma centre by ambulance after emergency companies have been known as simply after 3pm.
An air ambulance was additionally despatched to the scene.
It is known that the incident was between prisoners.
Police have stated they have been known as at round 3.20pm to stories of an inmate being assaulted on the jail.
They added that no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
A Prison Service spokesperson stated: “Staff swiftly responded to an incident between prisoners at HMP Wandsworth immediately.
“We have a zero tolerance approach to violence and will always take strong action against those who break these rules.”
The stabbing comes days after Daniel Khalife, a 21-year-old terror suspect, went lacking from the jail on Wednesday.
He was arrested in west London on Saturday after 75 hours on the run and can seem in courtroom tomorrow.
