A Hampshire wheelie bin has been found 1,200 miles away in conflict-torn Ukraine.
The Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) bin was noticed by a journalist near the Polish border.
Philip Crowther, who’s reporting on the struggle in Ukraine for the AP information company, posted a video of it on Twitter.
He noticed the out-of-place black waste bin final Friday, as he was leaving Lviv, the place he had been working for 2 weeks, the Hampshire Chronicle reported.
It stated the bin was on the facet of the highway in Hlynystsi, simply earlier than the crossing into Poland and was being utilized by the border guard station.

Mr Crowther requested the council: “How did one of your wheelie bins make it all the way to Ukraine, and when is pick up?”

The council later shared Crowther’s tweet together with the caption: “ICMYI (In case you missed it): That time where one of our wheelie bins ended up in Ukraine.”
“No, we don’t know either,” the tweet added.
Waste and recycling portfolio holder at Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Nick Adams-King, stated: “It’s good to see our bins are well travelled and to hear that it’s still of use for the border guard station between Ukraine and Poland.
“Residents have been in a position to purchase our bins for various years now, and subsequently in principle they will find yourself anyplace, even jap Europe.
“While we’re not sure exactly how this one made its way there, it’s always interesting to see where they end up – even if collection does prove to be a bit of a challenge.
“I’m afraid I am unable to promise we will ship a brand new blue bin and meals caddy to accompany it after we roll the brand new recycling system out.”
