Bangalore: India’s performance on the first day of the Bangalore Test was not very special. Team India was bundled out for just 252 runs. After winning the toss, India (IND vs SL 2nd Test) decided to bat first, but on the very first day the whole team stumbled. Shreyas Iyer played the highest innings of 92 runs for the team.
However, team captain and opener Rohit Sharma also could not do much, he could only score 15 runs in 25 balls. But, he broke the nose of a fan during his innings.

During his innings, captain Rohit scored 10 out of 15 runs in Rohit’s sixes and fours. In this short innings of his, he hit a six, due to which the fan sitting in the stadium got very heavy. This six made the fan bleed. Fan was immediately taken to the hospital, after which it was found that his nose bone was broken and he had suffered a fracture. However, Rohit had no idea about this time.

According to media reports, a 22-year-old fan was sitting in the ‘D Corporate Box’, which caused serious injury to the fan after being hit by a ball. Where the X-ray showed that the injury above the nose has been treated and stitches have been done. Dr Ajit Benedict Ryan, Medical Director of Hosmat Hospital has also confirmed the incident.
