Gunshots have been heard after police smashed right into a home in Kent to free a girl who was being held hostage, witnesses have mentioned.
A person and a girl have been taken to hospital with critical accidents after officers have been known as to a property in Priory Road, Dartford.
Police mentioned they arrived on the terraced home with a skilled negotiator following stories of a “disturbance”.
Witnesses described how police cordoned off the highway and ordered folks to remain inside their properties, earlier than officers smashed via the entrance door of the property and went inside.
After an hour lengthy stand-off, “pandemonium” broke out and neighbours heard what they described as sounding like two rounds of gunshots.
Witnesses who lived close by mentioned the lady had been “held hostage” by a person behind the property.
One girl, who wished to not be named, described the scene as “chilling”.
‘I heard 5 gunshots’
She mentioned: “I used to be in the home and my husband and two ladies have been out – they could not get again residence.
“I went out and was told ‘get back – you must stay indoors’.
“I went to the backyard the place I may see extra.”
About an hour after police entered the property, she said she heard gunshots before a person was carried out on a stretcher.
“It was pandemonium,” she said. “I heard 5 gunshots – a pause after which one other 5.”
Police ‘tried to interact’
The home remained cordoned off and forensics groups could possibly be seen coming into the property late on Saturday night.
Kent Police confirmed a person and a girl have been taken to a London hospital with critical accidents.
A spokesperson for the drive mentioned: “Kent Police was called to a report of a disturbance at a property in Priory Road, Dartford at 12.40pm on Saturday.
“Officers, together with a skilled police negotiator, attended and tried to interact with a person contained in the deal with.
“A man and a woman were later taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.
“Officers stay on the scene and enquiries are ongoing to find out the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
