Two women aged 13 and 14 have been arrested on suspicion of the theft of a Jewish lady in north London.
A 20-year-old lady, who’s from the orthodox Jewish neighborhood, was assaulted and had her purse stolen in Stamford Hill on Thursday.
The Metropolitan Police mentioned she suffered bruising and was left “very shaken”, though she did not want hospital therapy.
Detective Sergeant Asli Benson, who has led the investigation, mentioned: “This was a terrifying incident for the young woman who was attacked. We will continue to ensure she has the right support.
“It would have been apparent from her look that she was Jewish and there was vital concern that she was focused for that purpose.”
DS Benson mentioned police are “keeping an open mind” in regards to the motive, including: “We are treating this as a possible hate crime.”
Police mentioned the suspects have been recognized from CCTV pictures, which prompt they have been carrying college uniform.
The women have been arrested on suspicion of theft at round 12pm on Saturday at an deal with in Haringey and stay in custody.
