A teenage lady accused of killing Brianna Ghey has instructed a courtroom she was in “shock” when she noticed her pal stabbing the 16-year-old, inflicting her to “fall face down on the floor”.
The 16-year-old defendant, referred to as lady X, claims she had her again to her co-accused, boy Y, who can also be 16, and Brianna when she “heard a noise like someone screaming” and circled.
“I saw boy Y stabbing Brianna,” she stated.
“It looked like she was starting to fall towards the floor because she was kind of like leaning a bit.”
Girl X stated she noticed boy Y stab Brianna, who was transgender, “around five times”, including: “I seen her fall and land face down on the floor.
“I noticed him stand subsequent to her leaning over, trying down on her,” telling Manchester Crown Court he “may’ve” stabbed her again while she was on the floor.
Brianna was stabbed 28 occasions in her head, neck, chest and again with a looking knife after being lured to Linear Park in Culcheth, close to Warrington, on 11 February, the courtroom has heard.
Girl X and boy Y, who had been each 15 on the time and can’t be recognized due to their age, deny homicide and are blaming one another for the killing.

“I walked over to see if I could see her breathing and I couldn’t. I saw boy Y start to run and then I panicked and started running with him,” she stated.
“I kept thinking about whether I should go back or not.”
Girl X denied she had stabbed Brianna, that she wished boy Y to stab her or that she had wished the sufferer to die.
Asked how she feels about Brianna’s demise, she stated: “I do feel really upset about it.”
The courtroom heard Girl X watched movies of Brianna and despatched messages in regards to the homicide to pals within the hours after the stabbing.
She instructed her mom, after which the police, that Brianna was together with her however had left to fulfill a boy from Manchester.
She instructed jurors: “I was scared because obviously I knew how bad it would look, just based off text messages, so I was defending myself as well as boy Y at the time.”
