Passport Office staff will start a five-week strike immediately within the more and more bitter civil service dispute with the federal government over jobs, pay, pensions and circumstances.
More than 1,000 members of the Public and Commercial Services union (PCS) at eight websites will stroll out because the long-running row continues to escalate.
There might be picket traces outdoors places of work in Glasgow, Durham, Liverpool, Southport, Peterborough, London, Belfast and Newport in Wales.
