Dina Asher-Smith has been pressured to withdraw from the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The Team England sprinter injured her left hamstring throughout the ladies’s 4x100m relay remaining on the World Championships in Eugene, US.
She was seen pulling up sharply and later flew again to the UK for additional medical assessments and a scan.
The Commonwealth Games gold and bronze medallist from Gold Coast in 2018 was attributable to compete within the ladies’s 100m and 4x100m relay at Birmingham 2022.
The Blackheath and Bromley sprinter mentioned: “Unfortunately, I’ve acquired a slight hamstring pressure and will not be able to race subsequent week on the Commonwealth Games.
“I like racing in entrance of a British crowd and was so excited to return to Birmingham, so I’m unhappy that I will not be there, however I do know that the athletes will placed on an excellent present.
