Study on Covid Vaccine: There has been a study on the vaccine of Pfizer and Moderna being implemented against the corona virus. In which it has been found that it reduces the risk of infection by 91 percent.

Study on Pfizer Moderna Vaccine: According to a study conducted in the US, people who have taken Pfizer and Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine, the chance of getting this disease is up to 91 percent less. According to the study, these vaccines also reduce the severity of symptoms and infection duration in people (Pfizer Moderna Vaccine Efficacy). The study is published June 30 in the ‘New England Journal of Medicine’. The mRNA vaccine from Pfizer and Moderna has the genetic power to make the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 for people’s cells.
The virus uses SARS-CoV-2 to infect and enter human cells. The study said, ‘Our immune system then builds up an immune response against the spike protein, and it learns how to fight the corona virus if we encounter it in the future.’ “What’s unique about this study is that it considers other benefits of the vaccine,” said study co-author Sarang Yoon, an assistant professor at the University of Utah, US.
Vaccine saved frontline workers
The study was conducted to measure the risk and rates of infection among frontline workers, doctors and nurses. Yoon said, ‘These are the people who are coming in contact with the virus day by day and the vaccine saved them from this disease. Those who unfortunately got infected with COVID-19 despite being vaccinated, were still better than those who did not get vaccinated. The study found that the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine was 91 percent effective in reducing the risk of infection after participants were ‘fully’ vaccinated two weeks after the second dose.
The first dose is 81 percent effective
The study also found that ‘partial’ vaccinations are 81 percent effective in reducing the risk of infection two weeks after the first dose of the vaccine. The study involved 3,975 participants. The participants gave samples for COVID-19 testing on a weekly basis for 17 weeks between December 13, 2020 and April 10, 2021. Of the participants, only 204 (five percent) were eventually found to be infected with the virus SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Of these, 156 were not vaccinated, 32 were in precarious position to be vaccinated and 16 were fully or partially vaccinated.
mild signs of infection
Participants who were fully or partially vaccinated had milder symptoms than those who were not vaccinated (Pfizer Moderna Vaccine Study). People who got vaccinated and infected with the virus had a 58 percent reduction in fever and 60 percent reduction in the number of days they were sick in bed. The findings of the study also showed If people who are fully or partially vaccinated are infected with COVID-19, they may be less likely to spread the virus to others.
