Son-Mother Reunited After Three Decades in China: The story of a mother and son living in China remains a topic of discussion all over the world at this time. These two met after 31 years and both became emotional seeing each other. These mother and son were kidnapped and sold to human trafficking. Tao Xiaobing was only three years old when he was separated from his mother. But eventually he found his mother in the city of Biji in Guangzhou province. Both had met on Saturday.
According to China’s news website, when Tao was three years old, he and his mother were abducted by his neighbors living in the village. Then they were sold to a family living in Shandong. A few months later, when there were no guards present, Tao’s mother managed to escape (China Son Mother Reunited). But she could not take her son along. When she returned busy, no one was present at the house and the villagers were asking her to run away. Along with this, the local authorities also did not help them.

Tao’s mother kept pleading with the local authorities to find him for the past several years, but no one listened to him. In the family to which Tao was sold, he looked after children and the elderly. But when Tao fled from this house, he was adopted by a couple from Shandong (Slavery in China). Although Tao’s new parents could not help him find his real family, they were afraid that Tao would walk away from them. But then he found his mother with the help of social workers.
Tao met mother after DNA test
Tao is married and has a family of his own. When he came to know about his mother, a DNA test was done. As soon as the test confirmed their relationship, Tao immediately went to visit his mother (Slavery Data in China). After meeting his son, Zhou said, ‘Thank you everyone for helping me find my child.’ Statistics from the Global Slavery Index show that in 2016 alone, 3.8 million people were living in slavery in China. That is, out of one thousand people of the country, 2.8 people are being enslaved.
